Note about: New MJO Method ... By: KHALID AL-OTAIBI

This method depends on the following:

First, the number of convection cells (usually) is divided into: (two cells, three cells, four cells, as a maximum).

Second, there are four regions controls active convection.

Third: longitude degrees around the Earth is 360 ​​degrees. result: 90 degrees for each cell of convection. [90+90+90+90=360 degrees].

Fourth: The naming of MJO Phase according to the Greenwich Line, west of the Greenwich Line, two western phases [MJO-WEST1, MJO-WEST2], and east of the Greenwich line, two eastern phases[MJO-EAST1, MJO-EAST2], Every 90 degrees of longitude degrees, there is an MJO-PHASE.

Fourth, Tropical winds oscillation [MJO] consists of several cycles (Seasonal Cycle and Sub-seasonal Cycle Long-short).

Fifth: I measure [MJO] movement, by two values: actual [Anomaly], and the Difference [Anomaly].

Sixth: Distribution patterns of [MJO] around the planet:

A) MJO [convection] slow-motion, with [High Density], Continue to influence for a long time, in several cells, usually 3 or 2 convection cells.

(B) MJO [convection] fast-motion with (circulating convection around the planet) in several cells.

I hope contributes to improved MJO simulation.
